Brand Product Reveal & Feature Animation

Project Overview

This project focuses on creating a cinematic 3D brand film showcasing the complete kitchen ecosystem, including rangehood, hob, microwave, oven, sink, faucet, and water heater. The objective was to present the products as a unified design language while highlighting individual features through controlled camera movement and lighting.

Workflow Breakdown
1. Concept & Storyboarding

The process began with defining a structured storyboard that balanced brand identity and product features. Each product was assigned a dedicated reveal moment, ensuring clarity without overcrowding the timeline. The pacing was designed for a 60–75 second cinematic presentation.

2. Modeling

All products were modeled using real-world scale references to maintain dimensional accuracy. Clean topology and controlled bevels were essential to achieve realistic light interaction, especially for glass and metallic finishes.

Challenges:

Maintaining proportional consistency across multiple appliances

Precision in hard-surface detailing

Aligning parts for animated components (sliding hood, faucet pull-out, etc.)

3. Materials & Look Development

A premium studio look was developed using physically accurate materials:

Matte black coated metals

Reflective glass panels

Stainless steel surfaces

Subtle emissive elements for LEDs and heating visuals

Special attention was given to balancing reflections and roughness to avoid overexposure while preserving realism.

4. Lighting Design

A controlled studio lighting setup was used to create depth and silhouette definition.
Key lighting elements:

Soft rim lights for edge highlights

Controlled reflections for glass surfaces

Subtle volumetric accents for atmospheric presence

The lighting remained consistent across all products to reinforce brand unity.

5. Animation

The animation style focused on minimal yet intentional motion:

Slow cinematic camera moves

Feature-driven close-ups

Subtle mechanical animations (sliding hood, flame ignition, water flow)

Timing was carefully adjusted to maintain a premium and confident visual tone.

6. Rendering & Post-Production

High-sample rendering was used to preserve material accuracy and reflection quality. Final compositing included:

Contrast refinement

Controlled glow for LED and heat effects

Minor color grading for brand consistency
